Our little Miracle- October 5, 2007

Well, our little Smidge, (which is my new nickname for her) DOES NOT have holy moly. (holoprosencephaly). She does have a cyst on her brain which is going to affect her. We have no idea without reading the MRI and talking to a neurosurgeon, just how mild or severe. I'm going with mild. "She is fearfully and wonderfully made" Psalms 139. Another issue is the fact instead of a 3 prong plug into her (umbilical cord), she has a 2 prong. It wouldn't be a big deal if she were "normal", but under the circumstances everything means something. And the fact that she is floating in a small amniotic sac.. which the doc assures us if she nourishes and relieves (lolly's term: eat and pees) a small sac will be enough. We are emotionally roller coastered onto another planet right now. At least I am. Seems like Lacey is the Rock of Gibralter. so is Brad. Taking all this life changing news with calm assurance that God is in control. And He is. Thank you for prayers and continued prayers. God is Good, all the time.
